This workshop is open to anyone wanting to learn intersectional anti-oppressive practices that function to dismantle anti-Black racism. This session dives into the structural, institutional, interpersonal, and personal systems of oppression that impact the experiences of Black folks. We examine the socially constructed intersecting hierarchies that function alongside anti-Black racism such as sexism, misogynoir, cisheterosexism, ableism, classism, ageism, xenophobia, antisemitism, and Islamophobia. Together we will explore the core principles of integrated anti-oppressive practice and find ways to implement these practices while combating anti-Black racism.
